Court Clears Godwin Emefiele @GodwinIEmefiele to run for president. Emefiele in his suit FHC/ABJ/CS/610/2022, challenged the application of Section 84(12) of the amended Electoral Act (EA) 2022 on him, arguing that he is not a political appointee. The Court of Appeal, a superior court on Wednesday set aside Section 84(12) of the Amended Electoral Act, saying that it negates the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
