Students of the great Univeristy of Benin have in a protest shut down the busy Ugbowo Lagos Road in Benin City, Edo State.

The protest took it high shape following the unavailability of water and Electricity in the campus over a long period of time.

The university students lamented that the situation is driving them mad due to the no light and water syndrome in the hostels, hence they call on both the state and Federal Government to look into the menance.

"It is to be noted that a peaceful demonstration had earlier been carried out sometime in August this year, with no action from the Government and School Managemrnt, this protest is been held to drive their demands" the students said.
